Nanotechnology 101

Members of the Training for the trainer in nanotechnology (TTN) (Group 1-3) organized a two days workshop entitled “Nanotechnology 101” at Trium Udom Lum Lukka High School from Feb 23-24. The workshop is open to teachers and students. The aim of the workshop is introduce the audience to the wonders of nanotechnology and its applications to everyday living.

“This is a good opportunity to receive first hand information on the basics of nanotechnology” said Aj. Preecha Klumrussamee, Principal. “It is necessary to know about this technology as we are beginning to hear more about it and it is strating to enter the market”.

The workshop also acted as a training ground for the new TTN Group # 4 members.

About Training for the trainer in nanotechnology (TTN)

Nanotechnology is beginning to play a big role in consumers’ everyday life from medical to sports to pharmaceuticals. Therefore, it is necessary to build public awareness and understanding to the importance of nanotechnology. For this reason, the National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC) implemented a project which will have a multiplying effect to building human resource to help promote public awareness in nanotechnology. The objectives of the Training for the trainer in nanotechnology (TTN) are to develop human resource capacity and to building networks for researchers and academia in order that transfer knowledge and understanding of nanotechnology can be achieved.

Since its conception in 2008, the network of the Training for the trainer in nanotechnology program consisted of 64 member team from 49 institutions such as high schools, universities, and research institutions.
