The National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), through its PhytoEX platform, has launched two key programs—PhytoEX Celebrity Accelerator Program and PhytoEX Innovation Competition 2026—to accelerate the development of high-value bioactive ingredients from Thai herbs into commercial health and beauty products for the growing longevity economy.
Leveraging advanced technologies such as green extraction, nano-encapsulation, and integrated efficacy and safety testing platforms, the initiative transforms Thai herbal resources into standardized, high-performance ingredients ready for industrial application.
The programs aim to deliver 15 market-ready products by 2026, reaching over 650,000 users and generating an estimated economic impact exceeding THB 500 million. By connecting research with industry, PhytoEX strengthens Thailand’s transition from raw material supply to high-value ingredient innovation, enhancing global competitiveness in the health and wellness sector.
