To support the government promotion of science and technology, BOI and NANOTEC will organize the “Green Nanotechnology: for sustainable development” seminar on January 6 at Sapphire 8 (Muang Thong Thani Exhibition & Convention Center). The seminar will focus on nanotechnology that will enhance and contribute to envirionmental and sustainability products.
“Green nanotechnology involves designing nanoproducts that is considered environmentally friendly” said Dr. Sirasak Teparkum, Deputy Executive Director, NANOTEC. “Nanoproducts such as sensors, filtrations, water-purifications can be use as tools for detection of pollutions. The public needs to be aware of these technologies and reserch institutions should integrate green nanotechnology concepts when planning their research project outline”.
The seminar is expected to attract manufacturers, researchers, academia, and policy makers who sees the importance of green nanotechnology as a tool to increase national competitiveness.
