24–25 July 2026 – The National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), in collaboration with Utokapat Foundation under Royal Patronage of H.M., officially launched the Innovative Water Quality Management for Domestic Consumption Project, supported by the Stock Exchange of Thailand Foundation.
The initiative aims to improve access to safe and clean water for communities with limited access to clean water through science, technology, and innovation (STI). The project addresses water quality challenges faced by communities that rely on natural sources or small community water supply systems with limited water quality. The project will initially be implemented in Lampang and Chiang Mai provinces, where tailored water treatment solutions will be developed based on local water quality conditions.
The project begins with water quality assessments to develop tailored water treatment systems and strengthen local capacity for sustainable water management. This initiative reflects NANOTEC’s commitment to translating research and innovation into practical solutions that address community needs, strengthen local resilience, and improve quality of life through sustainable water management.
