The United States National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI) is currently accepting public comments on its draft NNI Strategic Plan. The NNI is a nearly US$1.8 billion multi-agency federal research and development initiative focused on nanotechnology innovation. The Plan is the framework that underpins the nanotechnology work of 25 NNI member agencies, with the aim of ensuring that advances in nanotechnology research and development, and their applications to agency missions and the broader national interest, continue unabated in this emerging area of science. The public comment period is open until November 30, 2010.
