Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman, Coordinator General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (Comstech), speaking this week at an international workshop on “Essential Need of Nano-Education in OIC Countries”, called upon higher education policy-makers in Islamic countries to introduce nanotechnology as a discipline at the university level. Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman said that nanotechnology is the future of science and technology, and it is not too late for Pakistan and other Islamic countries to realize the potential of this emerging science and bring an industrial revolution to OIC countries.
