Representatives from Ban Pong Sugar Co.,Ltd paid a visit to NANOTEC with an aim to explore ways to utlizie waste from sugar production process eg. sugarcane fiber and left over wax on Oct 1. The group was quite interested in the Smart Soil project for sugarcane fiber waste. As for left over wax, there was discussion regarding using it as coating for wood preservation. On hand to meet the visitor was Assoc. Prof. Prasert Pavasant, Advisor to Nanomaterials for Energy and Catalysis (NEC) Lab and Dr. Nawin Viriya-empikul, NEC Researcher.
