“The workshop will focus on the application of nanotechnology in textile and agricultural sector” said Prof. Sirirurg Songsivilai, Executive Director of NANOTEC during his welcome remarks.
In the past 10 years, nanotechnology has penetrated Thai society and is becoming a part of the Thai ways of life.
Thailand is positioning itself as an Asean regional hub for the advanced medical robot industry.
In a recent Asian-Pacific Newsletter on Occupational Health and Safety (Vol 19, number 3, December 2012), Prof. Sirirurg Songsivilai, NANOTEC Executive Director emphasized that the number of products currently on the market containing nanomaterials as the critical component or uses nanotechnology in crucial manufacturing process will increase from 1% to 10% in the coming decade.
