NanoThailand 2010 got off to a very good start this morning (Nov 11) with a press conference chaired by H. E. Dr. Virachai Virameteekul, Minister of Science and Technology. Also participating was Prof. Dr. Sirirurg Songsivilai, President of Nanotechnology Association of Thailand, Prof. Dr. Jumras Limtrakul (Kasetsart University), and Prof. Dr. Nikorn Mungkorntong (Chiang Mai University).

Award received in 2010(Dr. Uracha Ruktanonchai)

Dr. Uracha Ruktanonchai, National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC) was awarded the Young Scientist Award 2010 on August 9, 2010. She received the award from HRH Princess Maha Chakri at a Royal Ceremony in Bangkok. Recipient of the Young Scientist Award will each receive a cash award of Baht 100,000 (USD 3,000) and a certificate.

Visibility is key
