Endeavour Awards, the Australian Government’s internationally competitive, merit-based scholarship program, is open for Thai citizens to apply from 1 April to 30 June 2011 for study commencement in 2012.
“Endeavour Awards aim to develop educational, research and professional linkages between individuals, organisations and countries by providing opportunities for high achieving individuals from Australia and overseas to increase their skills and enhance their global awareness” said Watinee Kharnwong, Deputy Director of the Australian Education International, Australian Embassy in Bangkok. “Endeavour Awards provide full financial support for international students. Since its inception in 2007, 91 Thai scholars have been granted Endeavour Awards”. In the past, Dr. Phikunthong from Nano Delivery Lab was a recipient of this award.
There are four main types of Endeavour awards, providing full scholarships and opens to all fields of study.
- Endeavour Postgraduate Awards (Masters degree or PhD)
- Endeavour Research Awards (Research towards a Master degree or PhD in home country or Postdoctoral research)
- Endeavour Vocational Education and Training (VET) Awards (Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Associate Degree)
- Endeavour Executive Awards (Professional Development)
The Endeavour Awards are a part of the Australia Awards initiative which was announced by the Prime Minister in November 2009 bringing together the international development awards administrated by the Australia Agency for International Development (AusAID) and the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations’ (DEEWR) Endeavour Awards under a single recognisable brand.
