On November 4, 2024, NANOTEC Executives led by Dr. Wiyong Kangwansupamonkon, Deputy Executive Director (for Research and Development) and Ms. Sansanee Huabsomboon, Deputy Executive Director (for Research and Development Support), visited the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) office to discuss strategies for scaling innovations for industrial applications. The discussions were held with Mr. Wiwat Hemmondharop, Vice Chairman of the FTI and President of the Innovation Institute for Industry; Dr. Jenkrit Kanatharana, Senior Executive Vice President of the Innovation and Sustainable Development Group; Ms. Sukanya Uerchuchai, Executive Director of the Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce; and Professor Witwat Rungreungpol, Associate Professor at the Department of Marketing, Thammasat Business School.
The meeting focused on collaborating with the Smart Agriculture Industry (SAI) group to explore opportunities for promoting and commercializing Thai herbs with significant potential, both from a technical and global market perspective. The discussions also aimed to advance the Thai herbal and cosmetics industries to international standards, with the broader goal of contributing to the country’s economic growth and GDP.
