Environmental Nanotechnology Research Team

The research team focuses on the scientific development and engineering of advanced surface technologies and material forming processes. Our work encompasses the synthesis and design of composite materials, nanostructured engineering materials, and bioinspired materials with enhanced physical, chemical, and mechanical properties. A key objective is to engineer materials with specific functional groups, including antimicrobial and self-cleaning functionalities, to meet emerging performance demands in various sectors.

In parallel, the team explores value-added utilization of industrial and agricultural waste, converting such waste streams into high-performance functional materials. These materials are further developed for environmental applications, including membrane-based water filtration, wastewater treatment, pollutant separation from seawater and industrial effluents, air purification systems, and energy and gas management technologies.

Computational modeling and environmental simulation tools are employed to support the design, optimization, and deployment of these technologies, enabling more efficient, sustainable, and data-driven solutions to environmental challenges.
