Responsive Nanomaterials Research Team

Responsive Nanomaterials research team focused on the design and synthesis of functional and responsive nanostructure materials with distinct properties to develop sensing platforms based on their properties, such as, colorimetric, electrochemical, fluorescence, Raman spectroscopy, surface plasmon resonance, for the environmental, food and drug industrial, and medical applications, including the development of innovative sustainable products.

Examples of research work developed by the research team

  1. Sensors for detecting metal and chemical contaminations in water using colorimetric technique, used together with colorimetric reader, DuoEye Reader, for detecting manganese, iron, copper, fluoride, etc (certified by the National Institute of Metrology)
  2. Electrochemical sensors for heavy metal detection in water for detecting mercury, cadmium, arsenic, lead, etc.
  3. Sensors for detecting pesticide contamination in water sources using electrochemical and Raman techniques.
  4. Biological indicator for steam sterilization
