The15th International Nanotechnology Exhibition & Conference (a.k.a nano tech 2016) opened its doors to the public this morning at Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo Japan. This is 6th year that Thailand have participated in what is considered the “world’s largest event for nanotechnologies”. The Thai delegation consisted of representatives from 5 companies (KEEEN Ltd., Thai Biothetic International Research Co.,Ltd, Smart vet Co.,Ltd, Thai Techno Glass Co.,Ltd., and IRPC) and researchers from NANOTEC, TISTR, and TRF. Leading the Thai delegation was Prof. Pairash Thajchayapong, Chairman of NANOTEC Executive Board and Prof. Sirirurg Songsivilai, Executive Director NANOTEC. H.E. Mr. Bansarn Bunnag, Thai Ambassador to Japan, his wife and some embassy staff also attended the opening ceremony.
A total of 16 exhibitions by both private sector and research agencies under the theme “Thailand Nanotechnology: For Healthy Life by Nature and Green” will be on display during the 3 days event. In addition, the Thai delegates will also be involved in one-on-one business matching activities, attending technical seminars, and building networking opportunities for business and research collaborations.
Over 500 companies from 25 countries are participating in this mega event and it is expected that the conference will attract over 50,000 visitors during the 3 days.
