On December 6, 2024, Prof. Dr. Siwaporn Meejoo Smith, Acting Deputy Executive Director of Research and Development (Nanostructure and Systems), extended a warm welcome to Distinguished Prof. Alaina Ammit, Associate Dean (Research) of the Faculty of Science at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), along with a group of UTS undergraduate students, during their visit to the state-of-the-art R&D facilities at NANOTEC, Thailand Science Park, Pathumthani.
NANOTEC, in collaboration with Chulalongkorn University and Mahidol University, is partnering with UTS to apply for the New Colombo Mobility Program since 2020, which was supported by the Australian Government. This program offers funding to Australian universities and consortia to enable Australian undergraduate students to engage in semester-based or short-term study, internships, mentorships, practicums, and research across 40 host locations throughout the Indo-Pacific region.
At NANOTEC, students will have the opportunity to gain valuable insights into cutting-edge scientific research through the institute’s advanced nanotechnology facilities and R&D capabilities. In addition, they will experience authentic Thai culture by living in Thailand and engaging with its people. The program offers a unique platform for students to deepen their understanding of nanotechnology research while interacting directly with NANOTEC’s distinguished research scientists.
