{"id":32171,"date":"2026-02-17T15:00:25","date_gmt":"2026-02-17T08:00:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nanotec.or.th\/en\/?p=32171"},"modified":"2026-03-10T15:36:56","modified_gmt":"2026-03-10T08:36:56","slug":"biodegradable-plastic-innovation-for-mangrove-restoration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nanotec.or.th\/en\/biodegradable-plastic-innovation-for-mangrove-restoration\/","title":{"rendered":"Biodegradable Plastic Innovation for Mangrove Conservation and Coastal Protection"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"81\" data-end=\"523\">On 17 February 2026, the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">National Nanotechnology Center<\/span><\/span> (NANOTEC), under the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">National Science and Technology Development Agency<\/span><\/span> (NSTDA), led by Dr. Wiyong Kangwansupamonkonand , Deputy Executive Director, participated in the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding on research, development, and academic collaboration related to Thailand\u2019s mangrove forests and coastal ecosystems between the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Department of Marine and Coastal Resources<\/span><\/span> and NSTDA.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"525\" data-end=\"830\">At the event, NANOTEC showcased an innovation in <strong data-start=\"574\" data-end=\"609\">biodegradable plastic materials<\/strong> designed to replace bamboo structures traditionally used for coastal protection.
