{"id":4740,"date":"2013-07-11T10:49:41","date_gmt":"2013-07-11T03:49:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nano2.toolsmkt.com\/?p=4740"},"modified":"2013-07-11T10:49:41","modified_gmt":"2013-07-11T03:49:41","slug":"nanobiology-for-cancer-screening","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nanotec.or.th\/en\/nanobiology-for-cancer-screening\/","title":{"rendered":"Nanobiology for cancer screening"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Prof. Dr. Tararaj Dharakul, Senior Advisor at NANOTEC was invited to give a talk on &#8220;Application of Nanobiology for cancer screening&#8221; <!--more-->at the 5th International Symposium on IT Convergence Engineering being held at POSTECH, Pohang, Korea from July 11-12. A Total of 16 invited speakers from 7 contries are participating in this 2 days symposium.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Cancer of the uterine cervix is still the leading health problem for women worldwide and the most important factor associated with the cancer is infection with high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV)&#8221; said Dr. Tararaj. &#8220;Our research group has been working on developing a cancer screening that can provide early detection of cancer. The strategy involved selection of suitable biomarkers, develop specific reagents, and evaluate their potential in several test formats.
