We aim to advance the research and enhance the capability of Thailand in the area of artificial photosynthesis, a key technology toward sustainable future for converting CO2 to energy and high-valued chemicals using sunlight as an energy source.
We will achieve this goal by collaboration among researchers whose expertise are in the areas of
1) design and synthesis of nanomaterials and catalysts
2) performance evaluation of electrocatalysts and photocatalysts
3) reactor design and device engineering
4) advanced characterizations: in-situ spectroscopy and atomic force microsocpy, and molecular simulation and device modeling.
Through this foundation, we will construct an R&D ecosystem for artificial photosynthesis of the nation as a platform for knowledge transfer, human resource development, and research engagement. Our goals are to carry out high impact research, be a country’s renowned research group in this area in 5 years and ultimately be top three research team in the ASEAN within 10 years (global visibility).
