On 7 June 2022, Dr. Wannee Chinsirikul, Executive Director of NANOTEC and Assistant Professor Tanakorn Osotchan, Deputy Executive Director of NANOTEC gave a warm welcome to Prof. Istvan Toth, Chair in Biological Chemistry, School of Chemistry & Molecular Biosciences and Professor of Pharmacy, School of Pharmacy and Dr. Mariusz Skwarczynski, Postdoctoral Research Fellow, School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences, Faculty of Science, The University of Queensland (UQ), Australia. The purpose of this visit is to discuss the research collaboration on Nanomedicine.<\/p>\n

Topic: \u201cPolymers in vaccine delivery\u201d by Dr. Mariusz Skwarczynski, The University of Queensland, Australi<\/p>\n
Topic: \u201cNanoparticle-based Delivery Systems for Improving the use of oral therapeutics\u201d by Dr. Uracha Ruktanonchai, NANOTEC, Thailan<\/p>\n
In the afternoon, Dr. Uracha Ruktanonchai, principal researcher and NANOTEC researchers from nanomedicine and veterinary research team had a scientific meeting with Prof. Istvan Toth and Dr. Mariusz Skwarczynski. They discussed the future collaboration on the peptide nanoparticle based antimicrobial compounds. This research collaboration extends to partner from Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital Mahidol University of NANOTEC which is Research Network of Nanotechnology (RNN).<\/p>\n

The collaboration between NANOTEC and UQ, was initiated in 2016. In 2017, UQ appointed Dr. Uracha Ruktanonchai, as an Honorary Professor in the School of Chemistry & Molecular Biosciences until 30 June 2023. Her contributions to and support for the relationship between NANOTEC and UQ to date are highly valued<\/p>\n
Moreover, Dr. Mattaka Khongkow, NANOTEC researcher, was granted an Australia-APEC women in research fellowship 2017 to pursue research opportunities in partnership with Australian education and research institutions. Dr. Mattaka conducted her research in the topic of \u201cA development of vaccine and a new delivery system for HPV vaccine candidates against cervical cancer\u201d in partnership with the University of Queensland, Australia under the supervision of Prof. Istvan Toth.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
